THE FREE YOUR DREAM MISSION is to take advantage of once in a lifetime opportunities for training in classical ballet, acting and singing on a full time basis, with a goal to develop Imani’s potential as a professional performer / advocate for the causes of disadvantaged children.
In choosing to say yes to large goals despite a late start and being considered “too old to become a Professional Ballerina” the Project has taken on the goal to document the path of “the outlier” by looking at the unique process of training in professional dance as an adult.
The ongoing goal of this project is to create FOSTER ARTS PROGRAMMING which will raise awareness to the struggles of foster children, orphans, adoptees which are so often misunderstood and silenced. Often, these person often do not begin the journey of self discovery until well into adulthood, having little access to the resources and support required for an earlier start.
Long range, this project seeks to organize fundraising performances and FREE arts training programs targeted to economically disadvantaged youth whose talents may be overlooked otherwise.
