OFFSPRING NYC: Our Dearly Departed... Rupert

In Honor of the Dearly Departed Companion of James (of What Is James Wearing), today's Blog is dedicated to Rupert (1994-2010), a most alarmingly beautiful Whippet.

Described by James as "intelligent, emotionally sensitive and the epitome of natural elegance" with "joie de vivre, unconditional love and silky fur", Rupert was indeed a Gentleman without measure, fully living up to his Breed!

Originally bred as a racing dog in England, this breed is known both for its agility, intelligence & grace. Having a swift ability to hunt small game, Whippets are also known for their remarkably gentle, sensitive and adoring nature. Having a coat that is odorless and sheds little, with a fine ability to get along on their own, Whippets make exceptionally strong companions to City Dwellers.

It is my most sincere advice that you send your heart-felt love and prayers to this fine contributor in the Blogosphere, and if the Spirit calls, leave your blessings on his site.

I would also well advise all of my readers to consider the following, a most fitting quote from French Poet, Writer and esteemed Man of Letters, Anatole France:

"Until one has loved an Animal, a part of one's Soul remains unawakened."
